Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the hosted Samosa service, which is built and run by Garv Nanwani, an independent developer based in India (“I”, “me”). It is a one-person project, not a company. By creating an account you agree to these terms; if you do not, please do not use the service. Questions: garvwashere@gmail.com.

What the service is

Samosa is an AI assistant that answers questions and runs scheduled agents on your behalf, delivering results to the app, Telegram or email. Its output is generated by language models.

Accuracy — read this one

The assistant can be confidently wrong. Its answers, summaries, research and briefs may contain errors or fabrications, including about facts, sources and figures. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions without independent verification. You are responsible for checking anything you act on.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older. This is not a service for children: it sends what you write to third-party model providers, and I am one person with no way to run the age-appropriate protections a service for minors owes its users. If you are under 18, please do not create an account.
• You must also be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• One account is for one person. Do not share credentials.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
• generate material that sexually exploits children, or targets or harasses a person;
• create malware, or attack, probe or overload any system, including this one;
• resell the service, or drive it programmatically to circumvent plan limits or rate limits;
• upload material you have no right to share, or personal data about others that you are not permitted to process.

I may suspend an account that does these things. Where circumstances allow I will tell you why first.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you put in. You grant me the licence needed to operate the service for you — storing your messages, sending them to model providers to generate replies, and returning the result. Your content is never used to train any model. See the Privacy Policy.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• A free tier is provided with usage limits. Paid plans raise those limits. Current limits are shown in Settings.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record and are the seller for the transaction itself. Their terms cover the payment; these terms cover the service.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated.
• If a payment fails or a subscription is cancelled, the account returns to the free tier. Your data is not deleted when a plan lapses.
• Refunds: if the service materially failed to work for you, email garvwashere@gmail.com within 14 days and I will deal with it fairly. Refunds are issued through Dodo.
• I may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days’ notice in the app. Continuing to use a paid plan after that is acceptance.

Availability

The service is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. Being straight about what you are buying: this is run by one person, so maintenance, outages and response times are what one person can manage. I may change, suspend or discontinue features, and if I discontinue the service entirely I will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and my total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending things

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. I may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

Where this service is offered

Samosa is operated from India and is offered worldwide in US dollars. It is not marketed to, priced for, or specifically directed at any particular country or region, including the EU and the EEA. You are welcome to use it from wherever you are, and you are responsible for whether doing so is permitted where you live.

Whatever country you are in, the rights in the Privacy Policy are available to you: you can delete your account and everything in it yourself, and you can email me to ask what is held about you or to have it removed. I would rather answer that than argue about which regime obliges me to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the Indian courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

Changes

I will post updates here and notify material changes in the app before they take effect.
